Already when I was 10 years old, I edited with my dad a magazine “Interesting Animals” – the readers were my classmates at school.
Today, I work as a contributor for the website of National Geographic Hungary. Here are some examples of my articles.
Between 2001-2013, I worked for greenfo.hu, a Hungarian language environmental news portal. I published there 766 photo reportages and translations.
Between 2013-2018, I worked for the weekly magazine Élet és tudomány („Life and science”). I made 95 interviews, mostly with biologists. Two examples:
– Interview with Boglárka Somogyi. Trifles of Lake Balaton.
– Interview with Dávid Czabán. Whistles of shrews in the dark.
Between 2012-2019, I was the editor of www.okologiablog.hu, the blog of the Centre for Ecological Research of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences and I helped this institute with popularization of science activities.
For Tudatos Vásárlók Egyesülete („Association of Conscious Consumers”), I wrote two product tests together with my fiancée, Mónika Czinder about the orange juices and chocolates available in Budapest and their different kinds of sustainable labels.
With the support of The Gőbölyös József “Soma” Foundation, I wrote four investigative articles, for example:
– People are worried about radon in Pálköve
– Will the money invested in block house renovation pay off?
In the summer of 2012, in Italy I completed a course supported by the European Union about the communication of science (Science and Communication for Public Debate).
Between 2013 and 2015, I wrote articles for the “Environment” column of the origo.hu web portal as a contributor.
